PlanetLab uses a modified version of fprobe. It is available in source form from the PlanetLab SVN, or in rpm form from the nightly builds. Installing it is simple since it does not requre any special configuration. It contains a set of default values for parameters such as the frequency at which to scan flows to dispense with ones that have expired, the number of seconds after which to timeout flows etc. There are some options that are PlanetLab-specific, e.g.
